Dance Training 10 Jul 2021

Dance Training 10 July 2021 1233x937

Let’s start dancing again!

The pandemic has stopped us from dancing for more than a year.

Let’s come together and start (re-)learning the dance steps that we have almost forgotten, within what’s allowed according to the latest corona rules.

We will practice outside in the open air, in a sheltered place in case it rains. The location will be at the Terrace in front of Autoworld (or in front of the Aircraft Museum opposite Autoworld) at Cinquantenaire 11, 1000 Brussels. About a 5-minute walk from Merode metro station.

We will go through the basics of some Latin, Zouk and Ballroom dances.

Most of the dance moves can be done alone without a partner, while we maintain the required distance between participants. Please bring a facemask.

Those who register and come as a couple can dance together if they wish and stay with the same dance partner.

If participants are interested to perform in public on the International Zouk Day (IZD) on 18 September 2021, we may also do basic & choreo training for IZD, which will be completed over 3 or 4 sessions in the coming weeks.

As the place outside cannot be booked, we may have to change location on the day if the place is not available. If you wish to be notified about any last-minute changes, join the following whatsapp group by clicking on the invitation link:  chat.whatsapp.com/E5aPtVvCr9Y70Srk2Dh46e.

Participation in this dance training is free of charge.

See you soon!

Notes.
The photo was taken during training for IZD several years ago.
Here’s the video of the IZD2021 official choreography that will be danced on 18 Sep 2021 in many cities and countries around the world:  facebook.com/watch/?v=954283315387271

P.S.

IMPORTANT HEALTH & SAFETY MEASURES
We care about the wellbeing of all participants. Please do not come to our events if you are sick, have an elevated temperature, or have been to a risk area (where Covid-19 is spreading widely) in the past 14 days. Always wear a facemask when this is mandatory.

Please wash hands frequently, starting when you arrive. There will be hand sanitizer available to sanitize your hands. Maintain distance with anyone who is coughing or sneezing. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth. Cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately and wash or sanitize your hands.
