On 12 March 2020 the government has announced measures to slow down the spread of coronavirus in Belgium. All recreational, sporting and cultural activities, public and private, regardless of their size, were suspended until further notice.
Dear dancers and dance lovers,
Spring begins on March 20 this year. Let’s dance together to welcome the warmer weather at the Early Spring Social Ball on Sunday 22 March 2020 18:30-22:00 at Rue des Braves 20, 1081 Brussels (Koekelberg).
In keeping with the tradition of the best Viennese Balls, there will be music for dancing the Slow Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep and Tango as well as for Latin dances like the Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba and Paso Doble. There will also be music for Salsa, Bachata, Jive, Zouk, Rock quatre temps and other dance styles. Something for everyone!
If you have a question about a certain dance style or dance move, find a person with a Smiley Button or a silver coloured wrist band to assist you.
Request a song: send your song suggestion (with song title, artist & dance style) to info@thesocialdance.com, preferably with a link to a youtube or mp3 file, not later than 19 March 2020.
Dress code: Smart casual. Feel free to dress up: tuxedos and ball gowns are welcome and appreciated, but not required.
Admission €10 per person.
There are limited number of seats at tables available and these can only be booked online in advance. Book early to secure your seats! To provide you with ideal dance conditions, the number of tickets sold online and at the door will be capped accordingly. Don’t wait until the last moment to book your places.
An online booking costs the same (€10 per person) as at the door, but when you book online in advance you get a complimentary drink and you can reserve a seat at a table. Payment methods accepted are: Bancontact, Credit or Debit Card, iDeal, SOFORT, Giropay and EPS.
To make an online booking for this event, click on the ADD TO BASKET button below. On the next page you can change the number of persons under Quantity and click on UPDATE BASKET to confirm. Then click on PROCEED TO CHECKOUT where you can specify the name(s) of the person(s) and enter the payment details. Please note that paper tickets will not be issued, the names of people who have prepaid will be on the guest list at the reception desk.
In case the event is cancelled all prepayments will be refunded.

We care about the wellbeing of all participants. Please do not come to our events if you are sick, have an elevated temperature, or have been to a risk area (where Covid-19 is spreading widely) in the past 14 days.
Please wash hands frequently, starting when you arrive. Maintain distance with anyone who is coughing or sneezing. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth. Cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately and wash your hands.
