Choreo Training for International Zouk Day 2021
Join us (and dancers in more than 100 cities worldwide) in learning a new choreography and performing it outside on the International Zouk Day in September!
This year we will perform the choreography on Saturday 18 September 2021 in several locations in Brussels (to be determined). On the same day, dancers in 100+ cities worldwide will also be performing the same choreography.
Choreo training sessions will be held on the following dates:
- Saturday 28 Aug 2021 16:00-18:00
- Sunday 29 Aug 2021 16:00-18:00
- Saturday 4 Sep 2021 16:00-18:00
- Sunday 5 Sep 2021 16:00-18:00
- Saturday 11 Sep 2021 16:00-18:00
- Sunday 12 Sep 2021 16:00-18:00
The location will be at the European Parliament in Brussels, in front of the Altiero Spinelli building and when it rains in one of the covered areas on the left or right side of the building. To get there by public transport, take a bus that stops at Place Luxembourg.
The choreo training is OPEN TO ALL, prior knowledge is not required.
Please join only if you can attend at least four (of the six) training sessions as they will be required to learn the choreography and dance it with confidence.
To let the organisers know on which days you’ll be attending, click “Going” on each date on the facebook event page at facebook.com/events/990896685083191/
As covid measures are still in place in Brussels we will dance with fixed partners. Please let us know if you need help in finding a dance partner!
Participation in the choreo training is FREE OF CHARGE, but we gratefully accept DONATIONS to cover expenses.
Notes.
The photo was taken on International Zouk Day in 2012.
The choreography for 2021 was created by Alisson Sandi (who also made the choreography for 2012 and 2016) and Elena Rovito: youtube.com/watch?v=uJ034LieeTI
